What is the difference between a coffin and a casket?
There are two differences between a Coffin and a Casket, the shape and the top.
SHAPE: A Coffin is tapered at the head and foot, a Casket is rectangular in shape;
TOP: A Coffin has a removable top, a Casket has a hinged top.

When a family purchases a Batesville casket, Victoria Funerals will arrange for a tree to be planted through Batesville's Living Memorial® program. More than just a fitting tribute, this program provides for trees that shelter our wildlife, reduce water and wind erosion, and contribute to the purity of the air we breathe. It's a way to honor your loved one with a lasting memorial while helping the environment. Living Memorial R trees are currently being planted in Bacchus Marsh. They are all Australian natives and grow to a height of at least 10 metres
